Sun-Kissed Memories: Capturing Simon & Claire's Dorset Wedding

I’m Nick Matthews, a professional Wedding Photographer based in the South West and I would like to express my experience in the hope that you are able to better understand my process and character. Every Bride & Groom (and the photographer) hope for good sunny weather for a summer wedding in the UK. The week commencing 4th of September did not disappoint; the sun graced us with its warmth, although at 30°C, a few of us felt like we were melting under its golden rays!

It was on this radiant day that I had the privilege of capturing the love story of Simon & Claire at the charming Bridport Registry Office in Dorset. The registry office, a place of significance and love, provided the perfect setting for their union. The ceremony unfolded in a beautiful high-ceiling room, illuminated by windows on three sides, allowing natural light to flood the space. The sunlight poured in from floor to ceiling, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. 

To counter the brightness, the blinds were gently drawn, casting a soft, diffused light on the couple as they exchanged vows and promises for a lifetime together. Following the ceremony, we sought refuge from the sun's intensity under the welcoming shade of a magnificent tree. The dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves provided a naturally enchanting backdrop for the post-ceremony photographs. The couple, surrounded by their loved ones, basked in the joy of the moment, and I captured their happiness in every frame. 

The celebration continued as the couple and their guests strolled to The Bull Hotel, nestled in the heart of East Street, Bridport, for the reception. The hotel's elegant ambiance and warm hospitality set the stage for an evening filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories.
