Wedding Photography FAQs

Wedding Photography FAQS

  • Absolutely. It would be great to meet up and I think that it is very important that you like and get on well with your wedding photographer. I am more than happy to meet up for a chat with no obligation and pressure of booking, so you can see if I might be the photographer for you. If you don’t live locally to me, and a meeting is difficult, we can always chat on the phone or via video conferencing such as Zoom. You’ll find my number on the contact page, or we can chat via the internet if you prefer.

  • As far as you like. It pays to reserve your date of your event as soon as you know it, to ensure availability.

  • Yes, I am based in Axminster, Devon, but I am always happy to photograph weddings in Devon, Somerset and Dorset.

  • I am a natural light photographer and I always want my images to capture the laughter and emotion of the day. I focus, not just on the couple, but also on your guests who play such a big part in your wedding day to capture the moments that would otherwise be missed, or forgotten.

  • Most couples are nervous about being photographed, but try not to worry too much about this. I can guide you through the photos by offering very gentle direction, a great sense of humour and I will never put you into awkward, uncomfortable poses.

  • Absolutely. I will be happy to take any formal shots you need for your day. I will always request a list of these shots prior to your wedding day and will be happy to provide a suggested list for you to use as a starting point, if required.

  • Your images will normally be ready within 10-14 days after your wedding day.

  • It depends on the length of your booking but I will always agree a start time with you prior to the wedding day and will never leave until I have checked in with you to ensure there is nothing else you need.

  • I have public liability, personal indemnity and insurance for all my equipment.

  • No, you don’t need to select a specific package, as I can cover as much or as little of your day as you like! Let me know exactly what you are after and we can work together to create something that is especially designed for, and works for, you.

  • In answering this question I can say this: I give all clients 2 sets of files. One that they can immediately use for all forms of social media, and the other for printing.

For printing I use a company called Whitewall or Metro Imaging, links below.

    https://www.whitewall.com/uk/

    https://metroimaging.co.uk/

The images that I take for each client are carefully colour controlled throughout the process from capture, to editing, to printing.

With these companies, who offer a range of papers and materials to print the image on, I can also control the end colours of the print through the colour profiles they supply me for each different surface; thus ensuring the best end results.

With Whitewall I can also create books from small A5 mementoes, perhaps for family and friends to large A3 Coffee table books.

It seems like an almost unlimited range of options to filter through what you’re looking for after a shoot. Please do not hesitate to contact me and ask what I would recommend for your personal needs. I am an experienced photographer and would be happy to help in any way I can as I’ve seen many different ways that my images have been formatted.
