The air was filled with an eclectic mix of excitement and gothic charm. The bride, a motorcycle enthusiast, had her motorbike delivered on a trailer, ensuring the exhaust pipes were cold to avoid any damage to her dress when she sat on it for the wedding photos. The groom, a Royal Navy Submariner officer, waited patiently as the bride arrived fashionably late at the Registry Office, adding a touch of suspense and anticipation to the day.
Capturing the Moments: The Venue and the Photography Style
Boringdon Hall, with its rich history and architectural elegance, provided the perfect backdrop for this unique union. The venue was adorned with large gothic style chairs and a nearby candelabra, enhancing the gothic ambiance of the wedding. The staff were incredibly helpful, allowing me to ‘borrow’ these elements to produce images with an antique tint, complementing the overall theme of the day.
The evening unfolded with an impromptu photo shoot, adding a different flavour to their gothic style. A suitable chaise lounge found in another room became the centre of attraction for the evening guests, creating a myriad of memorable moments.
