Capturing Elegance: A Stunning Autumn Wedding Shoot in Dorset

I’m Nick Matthews, a professional Wedding Photographer based in Devon and I would like to express my experience in the hope that you are able to better understand my process and character. Recently, I had an idea to bring together a group of wedding professionals to create a very special Autumn wedding shoot. A vision that came to life with the collaboration of talented individuals who shared the same passion for beauty and creativity, in order to do something a little different to usual.

The inspiration for this magical day began when I spotted the exquisite wedding dresses adorning the window of Bridal Reloved, a charming boutique in my local town of Axminster. Proprietor Lian shared my enthusiasm for this project and was instrumental in bringing the vision to life with an enchanting Autumn theme. Her dedication and support were invaluable throughout the process. 

With the expertise of my photography student Samantha (Infinity Photography Somerset) and the beautiful premises of Dillington House in Ilminster, the day unfolded into a breathtaking showcase of creativity.

Our day began with two stunning models, four exquisite dresses, one incredibly talented hairstylist, one skilled makeup artist, a talented florist, and two passionate photographers, most of whom hadn't collaborated before. The energy was palpable as we all came together to create something truly magical.

The talented freelance hairstylist, Elizabeth Jarrett Hairdressing worked her magic on the beautiful model, Alice Murguai, creating hairstyles that were nothing short of spectacular. Alice then moved on to makeup, beautifully executed by the experienced professional, Makeup by Lisa Hannah

For our next model, the elegant Stephanie Lansdown. Lizzy once again worked her hairstyling wonders, followed by a touch of makeup magic by Lisa. The bouquets, adorned with seasonal fresh cut flowers sustainably grown, were a creation of beauty by the talented Charlotte from Flowers on the Hill Devon.

It was a day filled with creativity, laughter, and a shared passion for making dreams come true. As the sun cast its golden glow upon us, I captured every moment, every detail, and every emotion, resulting in a collection of over 500 images that truly captured the essence of the day.
